The Southwest Ohio Green PAC only funds the web page and does not meet.
Contributions to the “Southwest Ohio Green PAC” are just used to pay for the yearly web hosting charge for this web page. When the Hamilton County Green Party was formed it was decided to keep our original web page – www.swohgp.org as well as the PAC and checking account. In contrast, the “Hamilton County Green Party” does meet on a regular basis.
The Hamilton County Green Party usually has its regular meetings from 6:00 to 7:30 PM on the 3rd Thursday of the month at The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County – Clifton Branch (at the corner of Brookline and Ludlow Avenues) and has been doing so since 2017. Although we will plan to continue this practice into the future, we do make exceptions when needed. We can make room requests ahead of time, but only get confirmations about 2 months out. Notices about meetings are updated on this web site as well as emailed to our list serves and placed on our Facebook Pages & Groups.
The Hamilton County Green Party in not doing any in person meetings in 2020:
The Hamilton County Green Party is planning a Post Election zoom meeting from 7-8PM on Thursday, November 19th. The easiest way to join the meeting is by computer, but there is a way to call in as well.
If you think there is a chance you would be able to join us, please send me your email address to me at firstname.lastname@example.org so I can make sure you get the link to the meeting.
It goes without saying, I hope everyone will vote on before 7PM on Tuesday, November 3rd. The Green Party’s Presidential candidate, Howie Hawkins in on the ballot without a party label because the Green Party does not have official status in Ohio.
Gwen Marshall, Hamilton County Green Party
As you know the Green Party is no longer an official party in Ohio due to not getting a high enough percent of the votes in the 2018 Ohio Governor’s race. In Hamilton County, this is still our old web page address but it is not updated as much as it should be. The meeting page is the most current, but we are not able to meet in person due to covid.
You do not need to be a Green Party member to attend these meetings, you only need to want to help support the Green Party in any way appropriate to you.
